Premise

John Crichton returns to Earth in an altered timeline, and he and the crew attempt to restore the original course of events while confronting the consequences of his altered past.[1][4]

Plot

The episode opens after a recap of earlier wormhole events.[4] Crichton pilots his module through a wormhole toward Earth while Ka D'Argo guides him by voice.[4] On arrival, Crichton hears a news broadcast confirming that Reagan is president, which places the scene in the 1980s.[4]

A report about a space shuttle launch makes Crichton realize that his father is now scheduled to fly on the Challenger.[4] He tells the others that his father's involvement with the Farscape project resulted from the trip, and that his father's death would prevent Crichton from building the module.[4] He proposes finding a way to make his father refuse the Challenger flight and so restore the original timeline.[4]

The crew sets up in an abandoned house in Crichton's hometown that police had sealed after a drugs raid on its previous occupants.[4] Crichton then finds his younger self dressed for Halloween and tries to recruit him to persuade his father not to take the Challenger flight.[4]
