Article text on Heartipedia is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0).
What the licence covers
The text of every article: paragraphs, key facts, timelines, tables and the titles and descriptions of video moments. You may copy, share and adapt it, including commercially, provided you attribute Heartipedia with a link to the page and share any adaptation under the same licence.
What it does not cover
- Embedded YouTube videos and their thumbnails. They remain the uploaders’ property and are shown through YouTube’s official player under YouTube’s Terms of Service.
- Images. Each image is credited individually with its own author and licence (none are shown yet).
- Quotations. Text shown as a quotation belongs to its original author and is used under quotation rights.
- Trademarks, including the Heartipedia name, and the site’s code and design.
Pages derived from Wikipedia
Where a page was rewritten from a fact sheet of a Wikipedia article, the “About this page” box names the article and the exact revision, links to it, and states that the text was substantially modified. Wikipedia’s text is CC BY-SA 4.0, which is why Heartipedia’s text is too.
