Summary

What happens in "The Ugly Truth"?
Crais and Talyn arrive at Moya, and Crais tells Pilot that he has removed Talyn's neural transponder and asks for a truce.[4] Talyn is becoming more aggressive and destructive, Crais tells the crew, and he wants their help to disarm him by replacing Talyn's main cannon with a non-lethal dampening net bought from a Pavian arms dealer.[4] The crew is skeptical, and Ka D'Argo argues that the plan is a trap to bring more dangerous weapons aboard Talyn.[4] When a second Pavian vessel arrives, Crais puts Talyn into Starburst to flee.[4] A radiation-like dampening wave from a Pavian ship then disables the crew's communications while they are trapped inside a transport pod, and Aeryn Sun is found on a lower level of the captured vessel with a long drop beneath her.[4] While the crew is held captive on the Pavian ship, Pilot and Rygel are trapped on Moya; Pilot notes that Moya has very little chance of finding Talyn after he fled, but intends to search for him anyway.[4]
