Premise

The crew of Moya learns that Jothee, Ka D'Argo's son, is to be sold in a large batch at a slave auction, and must find a way to free him before the sale takes place.[1] Stark, previously believed dead, returns to the group with a scheme to rob a shadow depository in order to raise the money needed to buy Jothee's freedom.[1][4]

Plot

Moya's crew look for a way to rescue Jothee before he is put up for sale.[1] Zhaan tells them she has been in touch with Stark, whom they had believed to be dead, and Stark's image is shown to them to back up her claim.[1]

Stark assures D'Argo that he has a plan to free Jothee, who he says is to be sold as part of a lot of ten thousand slaves.[1][4] The plan is to rob a shadow depository, and Stark produces blueprints of the vault layout and the door motion detectors, which he claims to have taken from the dying thoughts of the depository's designer.[4]

Once they are inside, D'Argo is to breach the security system so that Stark can link in while the access codes are being reset.[4] D'Argo reaches the depository first and is captured after being told to hand over his weapons.[4] As Stark works on the link-in, he warns the others that he has less than one arm left to complete it.[4]
