5. Summary
6. "Home on the Remains" is the seventh episode of the second season of Farscape, the science fiction series created by Rockne S. O'Bannon and produced by The Jim Henson Company. In the rights holder's description, the crew searches for food to nurse an ailing friend back to health, and saving one friend may require sacrificing another.
7. What happens in "Home on the Remains"?
8. Moya's crew is short of food at a time when Zhaan is desperately ill and needs to eat. Pilot tells Officer Aeryn Sun that the situation is urgent, and Zhaan prepares a serum to slow the bud growth that has taken hold in her. At the same time, Zhaan's spores begin to affect Moya herself, numbing the living ship.
9. Chiana leads the rest of the crew to the carcass of a budong, a large creature whose flesh is too poisonous to eat raw. Her brother Ner once stayed at a mining camp inside the budong, she explains, and the crew learns that miners there still extract Nigeli crystals from the carcass. Inside the camp, the crew falls under the control of Temmon, who enforces a harsh order on the miners.
10. Teman reveals that a keva, a creature that preys on budongs, killed Chiana's brother Ner. Grief-stricken and enraged, Teman orders the mines inside the budong closed, cutting off the food the crew needs to save Xan. Faced with that choice, Chiana trades a night with Teman for the meat that will keep Xan alive.
