- Summary
- "The Ugly Truth" is the seventeenth episode of season 2 of the science fiction television series Farscape. In it, Crais and the living ship Talyn return to face judgment for Talyn's attack on another vessel, and Captain Crais asks the Moya crew for help restraining Talyn before he can do more harm.
- What happens in "The Ugly Truth"?
- Crais and Talyn arrive at Moya and Crais explains to Pilot that he has removed Talyn's neural transponder and asked for a truce. Crais tells the Moya crew that Talyn is becoming more aggressive and destructive and asks for their help to disarm him. According to YouTube automatic captions, he proposes replacing Talyn's main cannon with a non-lethal dampening net purchased from a Pavian arms dealer. The crew expresses skepticism, with D'Argo arguing the plan is a trap to bring more dangerous weapons aboard Talyn. YouTube automatic captions record that a second Pavian vessel arrives, leading Crais to put Talyn into starburst to flee. The crew is trapped inside a transport pod when a radiation-like dampening wave from a Pavian ship disables their communications. Aeryn Sun is found on a lower level of the captured vessel with a long drop beneath her. Pilot notes that Moya has very little chance of finding Talyn after he fled, but intends to search for him anyway. YouTube automatic captions state that Pilot and Rygel are trapped on Moya during the crew's captivity on the Pavian ship.
