Club career

Ronaldo began his senior career with Sporting CP before transferring to Manchester United in 2003.^[1] In his first spell with the club he won three consecutive Premier League titles, the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League and the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.^[1]

He joined Real Madrid in 2009 for €94 million (£80 million), then a record football transfer fee.^[1] According to Wikipedia contributors, at Real Madrid he helped the club win four Champions League titles between 2014 and 2018, including La Décima in 2014, and became the club's all-time leading goalscorer.^[1] He won the Ballon d'Or in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 during his time at the Bernabéu.^[1]
